About this mod
ACE saves car setups per track, making them inaccessible for other tracks. This is not very convenient if you have a good base setup that you want to use across several tracks. This script organizes car setup files for Assetto Corsa Evo by creating a centralized setup directory structure and using junction points to make existing and new setups accessible across all tracks per car.
Currently compatible with: Assetto Corsa Evo - Version 0.9 (Early Access)
How to use: Simply double click the file in the downloaded archive to run and confirm.
This script can be run from any location, you do not need to move it.
This tool is a batch file (.bat) - a simple script that automates command-line tasks on Windows. Think of it as a recipe that runs a series of commands automatically instead of you typing them one by one. Everything this script does could be done manually through the Windows Command Prompt, but it would take much longer and be error-prone.
What it does: For each car in ACE, creates subdirectories for all known tracks. Consolidates setup files from track folders into a central "setups" folder per car. Creates junction points so setups appear in all track directories. Handles duplicate setup files by appending track names. The script can be run multiple times, it checks for existing structure. No data should be lost, but its a good idea to create a backup of your "Saved Games/ACE/Car Setups" directory anyway.
Customization: You can manually add more cars and tracks to the lists if somehow needed. Simply follow the existing format: call :AddCar "Car Name". The script can already handle unknown cars as it processes any directory in "Car Setups" anyway.
